Joshua Hebb is a passionate innovator with a background in civil infrastructure and construction. After years of first-hand experience seeing the way the city is built, he was called to think differently. He began developing a plan to target food security in Calgary while addressing environmental stewardship and community vitality. He is determined to make Calgary a beacon of what’s possible for bettering our relationships to each other and to what we eat.

Amanda specializes in community-based research methods. She develops tools that support organizations to demonstrate impact and find innovative solutions to complex social problems. Amanda is a partner at Habitus Consulting Collective, an Alberta Living Wage employer.

“I am someone who likes to pursue ideas, not just generate and voice them. This requires the courage to take risks, to ‘bite off more than we can chew’ and to be flexible to change. It demands energy and motivation, but the rewards are great. When we do this, we create. Research, evidence and imagination have the power to make change. The hard part is moving to action. How? Originally from Mexico, Maya is a born designer and self-taught artist. She holds a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design. Maya’s natural strength in typography and layout design, give her the edge from concept to completion. She makes it easy to transmit visual value to any company. Maya has worked with global brands such as Omega, Calvin Klein and Swatch.

“My artistic journey extends beyond exhibitions. I'm deeply passionate about community projects, collaborating with neighbourhoods like Crescent Heights and Mount Pleasant to bring outdoor and indoor murals to life, adding a vibrant splash of colour to everyday life and making art accessible to all…My ideal project would be one that involves branding and marketing a service developed by a non profit organization that would directly benefit third world poverty issues and help build sustainable economies.”
